Why choose my class?

I am an experienced professional sewing expert who studied Fashion and Textiles and has been sewing for over 20 years. My nan taught me the basics as a child, and I would watch her make costumes for a local amateur dramatics society! Having an interest in sewing and making from an early age, my first job at 13 was in a dressmaker’s shop!

From this, I have gone from hobbyist seamstress to a professional working with brands such as Brother, Janome, Friday Pattern Company, Simply Sewing Magazine, and more, on sewing content and tutorials. I specialise in sewing tutorials such as sewing hacks, creative projects, free patterns, and cloth dolls! I also have my own doll sewing pattern brand named Podgekins I started in 2023.

With experience working on a wide variety of sewing machines, you can come to class knowing you will leave with newfound confidence! I have extensive knowledge of Brother, Janome, Bernina, Singer, and other machines! So don’t worry if you have a top- or front-loading bobbin, or if your machine is older; just bring it, and we can figure it out together, with support from me along the way!
