Bitesize Mindfulness With One Word a Day

This past year has been a really reflective and transformative time for many of us. With this time of quiet and being at home comes the space to work on ourselves internally even if we didn't necessarily want to. It's kind of forced us to be still, to be quiet, and to adapt to a time that is unknown to us, or at least that is how it's been for me. With so many mindfulness podcasts, meditations, and other apps coming onto the scene it can actually be more 'noise' to try to navigate through. I had this idea to try to make a meditation practice that doesn't complicate it and make it a daily bite-sized practice.  So in this blog post, I share more about the One Word a Day bite-sized mindfulness technique which has really been helping me.

Things I have learned during lockdown to stay positive

With 4 months spent mostly at home, I felt it was time for a lifestyle post update. It's been a while since I wrote my thoughts on things. This post is about the things I have learned during lockdown, with a more positive outlook on things. I have practiced Mindfulness now for over a year, which has really benefited me a lot this year. In this blog post, I talk through the things I have been doing at home to stay positive. It's so important to take time out for your mental health and self-care. Hopefully, with this personal insight, it will inspire you with other things you can try also.

Starting my Mindfulness Journey

The sun is shining again (maybe not for long) and I have started my Mindfulness journey. Some of you may not know what Mindfulness is or what it entails but I thought I'd share my experience. I've started a group course session that is designed for people with chronic illness. It's once a week for 8 weeks and I am currently a few sessions in.
