Planning outfits this time of year is always one of my favourite things to do. There is something exciting about putting together Festive Outfit Ideas for the Christmas period. With all the get togethers with family and plans it’s nice to dress up and feel special. Below are my outfit ideas for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve.
Christmas Eve Outfit
Christmas Eve is usually spent at my Dad’s with my siblings, lots of buffet food and music. The occasion is usually quite chilled so doesn’t require any sparkle as it’s more of a smart casual affaire. This red floral blouse from Joanie is the perfect festive addition without being too much. Worn with the navy Joanie corduroy skirt and patent boots is simple yet cute. I have put together a shop edit below so you can directly buy the items and similar styles.
Christmas Day Casual Outfit
The first half of Christmas day is always about being super cosy, festive and cute. Boohoo have some amazing Christmas jumpers and I got this one in the Black Friday sale for only £10! Everyone does Christmas differently but I prefer to be comfy the first half of the day in leggings, fun socks and a jumper. Later on after dinner before the rest of the family turn up, I change into something a bit dressier, like below.
Christmas Day Party Outfit
After my dinner has gone down on Christmas day I like to dress up in time for evening celebrations. Something with sequins, festive colours and cute is where it’s at. This bow jumper is from Joanie, burgundy skirt from Monki and other outfit details see below. To get into the festive cheer an elf hair or Christmas earrings compete the look. Bag, snood and hat all from Primark!

New Years Eve Outfit
Lastly, it’s all about the sparkle for New Years Eve! Each year is different as I either spend it with family or friends but whatever the plans I like to dress up and feel glam. this purple skater dress from Missguided is fun, dressy and versatile to style. I layered it over a nude lace top for a feminine and slightly whimsy style. To complete the look is a star dazzling head band from Asos and sparkly shoes from Boohoo that were only £10!! Shop the look below.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Festive Outfit Ideas for the christmas period! It’s always exciting and mainly getting to spend quality time with friends and family makes it all worth while. If we can’t dress up, get sparkly and merry this time of year then when can we! I’d love to know what your plans are this year, let me know in the comments.
