Today I have an outfit post of something I wore at the weekend, when I went shopping with my mum and sister. I kind of mashed up some items without thinking too much about what I was doing and really loved the outcome!

I’m not usually one for clashing prints but on this occasion I wanted to try tartan on tartan as I have seen lookbook. The lovely pinafore dress is from Fashion Union, one of my new favourite online stores. I loved the mix of blues in the different prints but breaking it up with the grey jumper and grey tights. Layering a long sleeve blouse under a pinafore or sleeveless dress is a lovely way of layering in the winter and adding an extra detail to a look. The details are very important in any outfit, like a necklace, some ankle socks and bag to tie it all together. I love the ‘owl’ bag as it adds a really playful element to the overall look.
