Friday was one of the funnest days in London so far! I work half days in the office so I went to meet my favorite snap happy whimsy lover
Kitty Gallannaugh for an afternoon of frolics. I wanted to browse Portobello market one day while I was here, and usually Friday’s were the amazing cheap vintage day but for some reason it has changed to Thursday so didn’t manage to get any bargains. However, I met up with kitty and we wandered towards the market full of hope for a bargain but ended up browsing various jewelry stalls, bric o brac and being harassed by men in the street. Not your usual Friday afternoon expectations but we just found it hilarious! We finally came across some beautiful vintage shops in the main clothing market and I found the most PERFECT gingham dress, in my size and in my favorite colour just hanging on a rail right in front of me. I picked it up and knew I had to take it home with me! It was only £15 so Kitty said I had to buy it, so I did. We went to get a tea and cake break and decided it would be good to take some photos in my new dress, so that’s exactly what we did. Kitty worked her magic and hunted out some pretty corners of the market, a little park and along the street with lovely houses. We laughed so much, I danced around like a fairy (always think I am anyway), we talked about Portsmouth slang words and belly laughed so much that some of the photos are probably mid shot nightmares. All in all, I had the best time and it is always so refreshing seeing Kitty, she brings out the best in me! We have already planned to meet again and I can’t wait to see her whilst being in London! will upload the photos from the shoot as soon as I get them and I can’t wait to share them with you all.

Isn’t she just beautiful!

This is the beautiful dress, I feel like Dorothy when wearing it, I just need glittery red heels! Kitty took the outfit photos of course, and this was one of the spots we did her photoshoot so there will be more to come from her talented camera skills. Gingham really makes me feel nostalgic, remembering summer dresses at school and I used to love them then as well! I was already wearing black tights and boots before I changed into this dress but I don’t actually mind them with the pastel, usually I think they look too dark in comparison. The pom pom headband is from Asos and I had to buy it after seeing Doedeere wearing it, it’s so fun and amazingly colourful I could just eat it. The mint coat is from SheInside and is my staple item during being in London, its so easy to wear and makes me feel bright and jolly whilst on the dreary tube!
