Charlotte was overwhelmed with excitement when we got to Ladurée, and who can blame her! It is like looking at a scene from the Marie Antoinette movie, with the bright colours and sweet treats. It’s a delightful sight and certainly a wonderful experience whenever I visit. We both ordered my favourite cake the Rose Raspberry Saint Honoré, which is a Puff pastry and choux pastry with light rose petal custard cream, raspberry compote, rose-flavoured
Chantilly whipped cream, rose syrup fondant and raspberries (I totally copied that from the website)! It tastes as amazing as it looks and I highly recommend it. Charlotte had tea and I ordered an iced coffee, refreshing choice when rushing around in a hot stuffy London.
We then wandered around Harrods, passing through the flower stand in the food court, making us feel like we were in Paris. We also explored the luxury brands on the first floor and pretended we could afford Alexander McQueen and Chanel, it was great fun! If you are visiting London for a day and want to explore the general Tourist attractions, I suggest a stop by Harrods and an afternoon treat in Laduree.
