Today has been filled filled crafty moments among baking, resting and overall spending each moment doing something nice. I may just have a move in date next week so early this morning I went to my local shops and brought some essential cleaning products as well as some yummy goods to keep me busy! I promised a colleague I would make some angel cakes so trying to be domestic just in time for moving out, I got to baking! I also picked up a copy of country home, whilst I waited for the cakes to cook I browsed the pages for inspiration. Fair to say I’m getting really excited, having some down time today and time to organize and think is all making it sink in.

I woke up feeling rather Autumny, the fresh breeze in the air and the golden sunlight was delightful. One of my favorite outfits for Autumn has to be a midi style skirt, with either a jumper, long sleeved blouse and some vintage style accessories. Over on my Pinterest I have a board called ‘
Outfit Inspiration‘ which features quite a lot of looks as I just described!
My outfit today took all those things into consideration. Autumn breeze and orange sunshine glow meant I needed some light layers. I really wanted to wear this vintage midi skirt I brought from a charity shop, so I styled it with a Topshop denim shirt, socks, boots and a lovely fur knit cardie from She Inside. I always feel quite grown up wearing longer length skirts and like the instant retro look it gives an outfit. I am really loving the fur knit trend this season in cardigans and jumpers so want to get as much wear out of this one from she Inside as possible. With the black bowler hat and bunting necklace it sets the vintage feel to the whole look. My boots are from Schuh, I love working there and making the most of my discount! These boots are so comfortable and come in black as well. At only £45 I think they are a bargain. I hope you like it.

I did some baking today as I already mentioned and here are my butterfly cakes. They are pretty humble in the baking world but I’m pleased with them and they taste damn good! Lets hope my work colleges like them tomorrow.
